Ms. Donna is delighted to be on staff at Dance Connections. She recently retired from the Montgomery County Public School system, where she taught dance curriculum in James Hubert Blake High School and Silver Spring International Middle school. Ms. Donna choreographed for numerous dance concerts, showcases, and Musical Theater Productions. She has also performed as a dance artist out of NYC for nine years, and with those opportunities, she worked in eight different countries as a performer and dance educator. A few of her favorite experiences included performing in 28 television recordings in the Olga Breeskin variety act television show in Mexico City, dancing in an outdoor theater under the stars and moon in the shadows of the pyramids in Egypt with the Finnan Dance company and dancing with Ms. Jen Aversa in Washington DC with the Modern Dance company – Cross Currents. Ms. Donna was privileged to be able to study under some of the dance pioneers of the 1980-1990s. 
Some of those master teachers include; Denise Jefferson (Graham technique) who helped to develop the Ailey School, Trisha Brown and Viola Farber of the Merce Cunningham company, Frank Hatchett the founder of NYC Broadway Dance Center. Charles Kelley – Jazz and acrobatics teacher, Michael Owens and Joe Lanteri of NYC Steps School of dance, Zena Rommett – floor barre technique, Pamela Crittelli of Oregon Ballet company.  She has also studied the performing arts of voice and acting while in NYC.
     Ms. Donna’s collegiate studies include the American Dance Festival, University of MD of College Park (Bachelor degree in Business Administration, minor in Dance), Trinity College for Education curriculum, in addition to MCPS pedagogy classes for her Master Equivalency in Education.
     Ms. Donna believes that movement is a joyful gift in life. She continues her own personal dance training. She is presently pursuing training and certification in Dance for Parkinson Disease under the Mark Morris foundation. She finds it a privilege to dance with the youngest to the oldest of groups.
